Round Zucchini (often called Globe Zucchini or 8-Ball Squash) is a prolific, fast-growing summer squash perfect for stuffing and baking. A bush-type summer squash grows perfectly spherical fruits about 3–4 inches across with smooth, pale to medium green skin. This variety became popular with home cooks who stuff and bake the whole fruit rather than slicing it. It's an annual, native to Central America and Mexico, and it performs well across USDA Zones 3–10. Fruits mature in 45 to 50 days. One healthy plant will keep producing from midsummer right up to the first frost.

Direct sow Round Zucchini seeds outdoors after the last frost, once soil temperature holds at 60°F or above. Germination takes 7–10 days.
