Moss Curled Parsley Seeds

Parsley Moss Curled seeds are genuinely slow, they germinate in 3-5 weeks. However, there is a way to speed up germination time. For that, soak the seeds in warm water for 8–12 hours before planting. To get a head start on the growing season, start Parsley Curled seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost, and keep soil temperature between 65–70°F consistently. Transplant when soil outside has warmed to at least 60°F. Space plants at 6 inches to reduce risk of fungal problems.

Parsley Petroselinum Crispum grows best with full sun. However, in climates with extreme summer heat, afternoon shade can extend the season, because plants in full afternoon sun tend to bolt earlier. Parsley develops deep roots, so the herb needs loose, well-worked soil. Water regularly and consistently, and don’t let the soil dry between waterings. Consider adding a thin  layer of mulch around the base to maintain moisture and keep roots cool during heat.

Feed with a balanced fertilizer every 4–6 weeks to keep production steady through the season. To harvest, cut outer stems at the base, not just pinch the leaf tips, because the plant regrows from the centre. If a flower stalk appears in the second year, remove it immediately, because after that the plant stops producing new leaves. To save leaves for winter, wash them, dry and freeze flat in sealed bags.
