About
Italian Giant Parsley is a flat-leafed biennial herb native to the Mediterranean that reaches 12–14 inches tall with large, dark green, flat leaves. Giant Italian Parsley has a cleaner, bolder flavor than the curly type. Hardy in USDA Zones 3–9, it's technically a biennial but most gardeners grow it as an annual. In the kitchen it can be added fresh in salads, stirred into soups, blended into sauces or pesto or used as a garnish. It is also very beneficial in the garden, because it attracts hoverflies and parasitic wasps — the insects that deal with aphids.
